Terms of use.

Foresyte is a free weekly auction-prediction game for Australian residential property — currently focused on Sydney auctions. You submit dollar predictions on listed auctions, we score you against the real result, and you build a calibrated track record over time.

Foresyte is operated by the founder out of Canberra, ACT, Australia.

Foresyte is free to use. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no payment surface at all on the version of Foresyte these terms cover (v1.0). If we launch paid products in future, those will have their own terms; using them will be optional.

You need to be 16 or over to create an account. Foresyte is intended for an Australian audience, but anyone can play — the game just predicts Sydney auctions, so familiarity with that market helps.

• Use a real email you control — it’s how we sign you in (magic link or Google) and how you receive results.
• Pick a display name that’s yours to use. We’ll ask you to change anything that’s offensive, impersonates someone else, or is misleading (e.g. claiming to be a real estate agent if you aren’t).
• One account per person. Multi-accounting to game leaderboards or aggregate signal is not allowed and may get all involved accounts suspended.
• You can delete your account anytime from /settings. See /privacy §7 for what happens to your data when you do.

• Don’t scrape, mirror, or systematically extract data from Foresyte without written permission. (Legitimate research access — academic, journalistic — email us, we mostly say yes.)
• Don’t try to manipulate the calibrated crowd estimate or tipster signal — coordinated bad-faith picks, bot submissions, vote-stuffing leaderboards, that family of things. We may suspend accounts and disregard picks we judge to be in bad faith.
• Don’t use Foresyte to harass other players, post unlawful content (in chat, profiles, or anywhere we add user-generated text in future), or attempt to break the site’s security.
• Don’t reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to non-public APIs, internal admin surfaces, or other players’ data.

Every dollar number on Foresyte — your own picks, other players’ picks, the calibrated crowd estimate, the tipster median, anything else — is a prediction. It is not a valuation, an appraisal, a property recommendation, or financial product advice. Treat the numbers as one input among many; never as a verdict on what a property is worth or what you should pay.

Decisions about buying, selling, or pricing real property have real financial consequences. Get qualified independent advice (a licensed valuer, a buyer’s agent, a financial adviser, a lawyer) before acting on anything you see here.

Foresyte is not a betting product, a gambling service, a prediction market, or a financial product. There is no wagering between players, no “shares” in outcomes, no money on the line.

Auction listings, results, and methodology data come from public sources (Domain’s public results pages, NSW Valuer-General, others documented on /methodology). We make a reasonable effort to keep things accurate and up to date, but we don’t guarantee that every listing, result, or score is error-free. If you spot something wrong, tell us via the per-page feedback chip or hi@foresyte.com.au and we’ll fix it.

Foresyte is provided as-is, on a best-efforts basis, with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or that any feature will continue to exist in its current form.

• The platform(website, brand, code, design, methodology) is owned by us. You can use Foresyte for its intended purpose; you can’t copy, redistribute, or build a derivative service from it without permission.
• Your predictions and picks are yours. By submitting them, you grant Foresyte a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them for the purposes described in /privacy — running the game, scoring you, computing aggregate signal, and (where applicable) including them in anonymised aggregate outputs published or sold to third parties.
• Your display name may appear on public leaderboards and results pages. By choosing one, you agree to its public display in that context.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010(Cth)) that can’t be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by Australian law: Foresyte is provided free, without warranty, and we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss you incur as a result of using or relying on the service — including loss arising from acting on any prediction, score, or estimate published on Foresyte.

• You can stop using Foresyte at any time; you can delete your account from /settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms (multi-accounting, signal manipulation, scraping, abuse) — usually with notice, but immediately if the breach is serious. Sections 6, 7, 8 and 9 survive termination.
• We may discontinue Foresyte or any part of it at any time. If we shut the whole thing down, we’ll give registered users reasonable notice via email.

If we change these terms in a material way, we’ll update this page and notify signed-in users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If you keep using Foresyte after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms; if you don’t, delete your account before then.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia. The courts of the ACT have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
